About the Speaker:

Karen Smith is President of Nova 401(k) Associates. She has been practicing in the retirement area for more than 25 years and has been actively involved in ASPPA for much of her professional career. In addition to serving as President of ACOPA, she is a member of the ASPPA Leadership Council, the American Retirement Association Legislative Relations Committee, and previously served on the American Academy of Actuaries Qualifications Committee.

Lynn Young is an enrolled actuary and has over 31 years experience in the consulting and administration of qualified defined benefit, cash balance, and defined contribution plans. As an enrolled actuary, she specializes in actuarial consulting and third-party administration of defined benefit retirement plans. Lynn is the Past-President of ACOPA and a past board member of ASPPA’s Board of Directors. She, along with fellow actuaries from Pinnacle Plan Design, authored 2016 edition of the Defined Benefit Answer Book.
