In an effort to enhance ASPPA's Education and Examination programs, ASPPA members are invited to serve in various areas. The ASPPA Academy is responsible for delivering one of the most essential purposes of ASPPA: To provide professional education opportunities for all retirement plan professionals. Education programs are designed to offer learning opportunities for the professional who is new to the industry as well as for the experienced practitioner seeking to obtain new knowledge or wanting to update their comprehension of particular topics. Included as an important component of the Retirement Plan Academy (RPA) is the development and delivery of the required courses of study for professionals seeking ASPPA’s Certificate programs as well as the QKA, QPA, CPC, MSPA and FSPA credentials. RPA is also responsible for the ongoing supervision of ASPPA’s Continuing Education (CE) program for all credentialed members.
Expectation for All Volunteers: Support ASPPA’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, accountability and ownership.
Volunteering is a great opportunity for networking and earning valuable ASPPA Continuing Education (CE) credit. It can also be a pathway to ASPPA leadership positions. Members interested in volunteering should complete and submit the volunteer position application (check the appropriate box under the Education & Examination section).
The current volunteer opportunities available include:
- ASPPA Examination Committee – We’re looking for ASPPA credentialed members who would like to share their expertise as part of ASPPA’s Examination Committee. As a member of the Examination Committee, you’ll collaborate with other industry professionals, test consultants and the Retirement Plan Academy staff to research, evaluate, and create new examination questions for ASPPA’s various certification exams.
- You’ll not only be adding value to your profession - you’ll earn valuable CE credit for your contributions and participation.

Ad-hoc Volunteer/General Education Interest
Serve on an ad-hoc basis and assist with projects such as examination pretesting, publication review and/or editing, course presentation and slide reviews, etc. You will be asked to assist as projects arise as they relate to your expertise or attained ASPPA credential(s) and availability. Members interested in volunteering should complete and submit the volunteer position application
