Got a Question for the IRS? Send it to Us!

Do you have a question you’d like to ask the IRS? ASPPA’s IRS Q&A subcommittee wants to hear from you. We are currently gathering questions for the Defined Contribution IRS/Treasury Question & Answer general session at this October’s Annual Conference.

The question and answer general session exemplifies the excellent working relationship ASPPA has maintained with the IRS and Treasury. The preparation for the general session is lengthy. ASPPA’s Q&A subcommittee organizes submitted questions, in most cases proposes an answer, and then has several conference calls with the government representatives to discuss the questions before the Annual Conference. This process ensures that the answers are adequately researched and vetted within the government.
The session is, of course, dependent upon having questions. In particular we want questions on issues where there is confusion and/or a lack of official guidance. While the answers given at the session are not official guidance, the government representative’s perspective has proven to be helpful over the years. Note that since this is an IRS/Treasury session, we cannot include questions that are outside of their jurisdiction (such as DOL related questions).
Please send your questions to us at [email protected]. You do not need to submit a proposed answer, but if you have a proposed answer, feel free to include it with the question. Thank you in advance for your questions.
