The Society of Actuaries in October 2014 issued updated mortality tables and mortality improvement scales and introduced the concept of generational mortality. The speakers will share experiences with implementing the new mortality tables with year-end 2014 disclosure reports for accounting purposes. They also will present up-to-date information regarding the timing and implementation of the new mortality approach by the IRS for funding and lump sum calculation purposes.
