IRS Seeks Applications for TEGE Advisory Committee

The IRS is seeking applicants to serve on the advisory committee that provides advice and public input on the IRS Tax Exempt and Government Entities (TE/GE) Division’s tax administration activities. It made the announcement in News Release 2015-100.

The IRS seeks to fill vacancies for the positions on the committee that serve these areas:

  • Employee Plans – two vacancies
  • Exempt Organizations – two vacancies
  • Federal, State and Local Governments – one vacancy
  • Indian Tribal Governments – one vacancy
There are no vacancies this year in Tax Exempt Bonds.

Applicants must complete ACT Membership Application Form 12339-C. Applications must be complete and should reflect the proposed member’s qualifications. The IRS will accept applications through Sept. 4, 2015.

Applications should be sent by:

  • fax at (888) 269-7419 (secure); or
The Department of the Treasury appoints committee members, who serve three-year terms. The new term will begin in June 2016.
