Substitution of American Retirement Association Name — Vote Begins Tomorrow

The ASPPA Board would like thank the membership for the overwhelming support of the restructuring proposal. The Board is excited about the benefits of the reorganization as we near the effective date of Jan. 1, 2015.

Although vetted by outside counsel, in making final preparations for the formal introduction of the American Retirement Council name, it has come to our attention that it may be problematic for our use. As a consequence, the ASPPA Board feels that it will be prudent to use a different name to rebrand the collective organization. The Board has proposed amending the documents approved by the membership in July to substitute the American Retirement Association for the American Retirement Council.

More details about this proposal and instructions on how Credentialed Members may vote will be provided in an email being sent tomorrow, Oct. 14, to all Credentialed Members for whom ASPPA has a valid email. For those that ASPPA cannot reach by email, a letter is being mailed with the same information.
