PBGC Advisory Committee Members Named

President Trump on June 21 named seven new members to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation’s (PBGC) Advisory Committee.

The PBGC Advisory Committee is a body appointed by the president that represents the interests of labor, employers and the public. Its duties under ERISA include providing advice to the PBGC on investment policy and other matters related to the PBGC’s mission.

The new appointees are:

  • Henry Charles Eickelberg, a certified public accountant and adjunct professor of law and faculty advisor for the ERISA certificate program at the Georgetown University Law Center, who will serve as the Advisory Committee Chair;
  • Donald J. Butt, who serves on the board of the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) and is active with the Committee for the Investment of Employee Benefit Assets;
  • Babette Ann Ceccotti, a retired partner from Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP;
  • Jeanmarie Grisi, a CPA and the head of global pensions at Nokia;
  • Regina T. Jefferson, who is a professor of law at the Catholic University of America, where she teaches courses in Federal Income Taxation, ERISA: Pensions Tax Policy, and Partnership Taxation;
  • Jackson Miller, who had served on the PBGC Advisory Committee from 2008 to 2011 and is former vice president for General Motors Asset Management in New York, vice president-relationship management at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, vice president of investments at Philip Morris and director of investments at Eli Lilly; and
  • Guy Pinkman, who has served as a trustee on the Lincoln Police and Fire Pension Fund for over 10 years and is a speaker on pension-related matters, including funding status, fiduciary responsibilities and numerous other pension issues.
