While this session is not intended to circumvent a participant’s estate planning attorney or advisor, it will provide attendees with an overview of such issues as the effect of no beneficiary designation; impact of a divorce on a beneficiary designation, including the pre-nuptial issue; handling of competing claimants for plan benefits; handling a beneficiary’s disclaimer; handling the distribution; and reporting for various types of beneficiaries.
