ASPPA Members
The webcast is designed to offer registrants 2 ASPPA CE credits.

Enrolled Actuaries
The webcast is designed to offer registrants 2 JBEA CE credits for Enrolled Actuaries. The final decision as to the number and type of JBEA credits rests solely with the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries.

Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) 
The webcast is designed to offer registrants 2 ERPA CE credits.

Continuing Education Changes for RECORDED Webcast Attendees
Once registered, attendees will receive a confirmation letter directing them to the “Access Recorded Webcasts” page with a link to the WebEx OnDemand Center. Each registered viewer will be tracked when they log in with their name and email address. The webcast link will expire once the attendee has satisfied the CE requirement. CE credits will be applied to their record on a periodic basis and a certificate of attendance will be available on each attendee's My ASPPA page.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Newell W. Kimlin
Newell is the area actuary for the Pacific Coast Area of the Tax Exempt and Governmental Entities Division of the Internal Revenue Service. His primary duties include the examination of qualified benefit plans and the review of plans submitted for determination letter requests. Newell is an Enrolled Actuary and a member of the Society of Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries. Newell has been a frequent speaker at the Los Angeles Benefits Conference and holds a Masters degree in mathematics from the University of California Santa Barbara.

Mary Ann Rocco, MSPA
Mary Ann is an Enrolled Actuary who specializes in designing retirement plans to maximize the benefits for business owners and principals.  She provides her services as a third party consultant to various pension administration firms throughout the country.

She is a Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and was a founding member of the College of Pension Actuaries (COPA) which has recently merged with ASPPA to form what is now called ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries (ACOPA).  She is currently serving as President Elect of ACOPA

Mary Ann’s involvement in these organizations has included chairing the first and second COPA annual Advanced Actuarial Conference in Chicago and serving on COPA’s board of directors

Mary Ann started working in the pension industry in 1980.  As a former math major she found her niche in matters actuarial.  She started her actuarial consulting practice in 1987 and became enrolled in the early 1990’s.
