Jeff Acheson, CPFA®, NQPA®, is assuming the 2024 presidency of the American Retirement Association (ARA). 
Missy Matangola, QPA, QKA®, 2023 ARA President, at the Oct. 22 opening of the 2023 ASPPA Annual Conference at National Harbor, MD, expressed confidence in Acheson. “He will be a fabulous president in 2024,” she told attendees.
Acheson offered remarks as well, saying that he is “honored and humbled to have served as president-elect” in 2023, during Matrangola’s term of office. Acheson also said that it was “a joy to work with the members of all the sister organizations.”
“The work we do is important, and becoming moreso with each and every passing day,” Acheson added.
At-Large Board Member
The American Retirement Association also named someone to fill an open at-large position on its board of directors for 2024. Frank Porter will become a member of its board of directors for the upcoming year.
